Baldè
Workshop-based socialization programs for youth and migrants in the city of Sassari.
The Baldé project promoted hands-on learning as part of the second year of the national project "LGNet-2 - Network of municipalities for rapid response and emergency inclusion services in disadvantaged urban areas".
Officine Condivise renovated part of the Poliss Center (located in via Baldedda, Sassari), establishing "Officine Baldé". There, participants were offered six months of free courses (655 hours in total), led by fifteen artisans and aimed at young people aged 11 to 29. The program featured twenty workshops focused on career guidance and socialization, covering activities like skills assessments, woodworking, pottery, screen printing, engraving, drawing, and comic art. An additional eight workshops emphasized community building and social interaction, with expert-led courses in self-build, photography, and art in English.
Special attention was given to the expert-led workshop on self-build, which involved around thirty young participants in ten intensive days of designing and constructing modular furniture and internal structures for the Poliss Center, benefiting its users. The self-build project was curated by “Studio Orizzontale”.
